lojack on lease
#12
with all do respect with other peoples opinions, i think lojack on a leased car is dumb. its a lease for gods sake, its a rental that you get for 3 years it doesnt belong to you, it belongs to the bank. let them worry about it. shouldnt that solve the whole "im worried about it getting stolen dilemma?"
however, if its for lowering monthly costs on insurance, get a cheaper insurance company. go with wawanesa (www.wawanesausa.com). i have full coverage on it. max coverage on comp and collision, i pay about $850 for a year.

^ I would agree BUT, you may not have a choice. If someone steals your car with lojack, you may get it back with minimal damage, HOWEVER, if you don't have it, you may still get it back with ALOT more missing and just have to fix it. Then you'll be even more pissed that it was stolen and a ton of work needed to be done to fix it.
The point of Lojack is 1. speed of recovery and 2. you may get a small discount on your insurance. Alot of cars are recovered, and I agree, If mine gets stolen, I hope it is gone forever, but I'd rather have it back fast, than found 1/2 stripped and then have to rebuild it with the insurance company.
If you have abunch of aftermarket parts its worth it also.

i have lo jack on my car and i purchase it. If you are going to keep it and mod the cars i say you would want to get lo jack because you want your parts intact. The only reason i said not to get it in my opinion is because the car is going back to the dealer after 3 years if something happens to it insurance will be paying for it and you don't even have to worry about selling the car after 3 years you just return it. Seriously though lo jack is just hooked up to the battery and a spare if you pay a little bit more. If they pulled off the battery your lo jack does not work any more what is the point of that?
