Let me get this straight
I purchased my S2K to drive. I have put over 2,000mi on her in the first 2 weeks of ownership.
I want to meet up for a drive or caravan to an event but get the feeling that does not happen here.
WHY?

What? Have you been reading the boards? It happens quite often, there are at least two regular meets per week, not always a drive but sometimes they do a drive after a meet. There is a weekly PCH cruise every Sunday morning. There is a huge meet and drive this weekend, unfortunately you didn't purchase your car in time for that one. We had our annual Mega Meet a couple weeks ago. There are numerous track events were people caravan to the track.
Congrats on the purchase, watch and read the boards, meets and drives happen all the time.

Caravans can and do happen, they just don't always happen publicly. We do this to keep n00bs who just bought their car out of the loop because they're usually trouble makers .
Just kidding. Go to a local meet or two and meet some local people. Next time there's an event, send them a PM and see if they want to caravan . I personally don't enjoy driving with people I don't know, and there are probably others who feel the same.
