Not exactly sure on the mileage; probably in the mid 47,xxx range now. I should take it out this weekend though. Haven't had it out since I took delivery on the new daily driver nearly two weeks ago. I both love and hate the Elise. In the canyons, it is so in its element. On smooth, twisty roads it is a blast and I love it. But driving it around as a daily on less than billiard table smooth roads, ugh. Not pleasant. And then I hate it.

Just wanted to add that I coicidentally bump into "speedracer" CRZ Allen here this past weekend at a driving event hosted by Allen Berg racing school at Autoclub speedway of Fontana. Allen was the photographer for the racing school & helped taken a few shots of me attempting to tame their formula race car. ^^ Alan was fast even before spending time at the Allen Berg school, but it does seem a natural fit for him to be there, doesn't it? Part of what Alan has going for him (and I've said this before so it's nothing new) is that he's not just fast -- he's also very smooth and he is very aware of his surroundings so he doesn't overdrive the condition. I know he punishes the hell out of his brakes (in that respect, I suppose a racing team might take issue with his not preserving the car a little better), but he always leaves himself some Oh Shit room on the road and I don't think I've ever seen him cross the double yellow when it wasn't to clear some bicyclists or debris. EVER. Not even as a mistake.
