Very well coordinated! Showing up next month for sure! Can we turn this into first and last Sunday event?

And this is what happens to your rotors when you fly down Tuna Canyon... They turn blue

Great pics! Thanks. I have some video that I'll upload later.
The day wasn't quite as smooth as I would like, but they can't always be perfect, I guess. One relatively minor fender bender and one ticket (plates and tint, I believe). Lots of waiting due to those. Then there was group two's unfortunate luck with slow traffic in the afternoon. It is apparent that many drivers in CA are unaware it is a law that if you have five or more vehicles following you and you are traveling at a rate of speed less than the normal flow of traffic, you are required to use turnouts. We got stuck behind at least two different drivers who were clearly unaware of this law and were about as slow as slow could be. I honestly thought I was going to have a canary, and I'm usually pretty laid back about that stuff.
But we arrived at the bottom of Tuna in one piece so that is good. And Alan, Frank and I (with Paul in my ballast seat) ran up Las Flores and back down Tuna one extra time just for the hell of it.
Fun day, but we're going to have to do something about either adding another leader (and a couple more walkie-talkies) or we have to cap attendance at 30 cars. We have no idea how to implement that cap, but we really need to do *something*.
And next month there will definitely be a "newbies/easy-goers" group.
We are open to suggestions on how to effectively cap the total number of cars on the drive, or for someone willing to step up, learn the routes and be a leader for a fourth group.

^^ Haha yeah, lesson 1, don't mock the cops when they tell you to stand to the right of the white line. Lesson 2, keep tinted windows rolled down. 3... Don't be lazy about front plate.

^^ We talked about the white line in the safety nazi speech. Yeah, mocking cops is NEVER a good idea. LOL! The odds are stacked in their favor in so many ways.

Aww, man! I missed an extended/new route? Bummer! Hopefully it's good enough to keep around for a few months, since I won't make it out in August either.
Perhaps RMurphy and I should go test some routes soon to ensure the roads have the proper clearance for certain things.

And THIS is why you stay away from the double yellow on blind corners.
WARNING: You can pretty clearly hear me yell the F word a few times and comment "effing morons" on the footage. Turn the volume down or off if you are at work. And yeah, the sound is crappy. Haven't had time to deal with it.

Thanks for the organized run, all! It was really fun and my first time out there. I think I was the only NFR AP2.
I have some pictures that I'll be uploading later tonight to share.
