Looks like a good group this month. Sorry I had to miss it. Not sure if I'll make it to the next one either.

I've got them at home and I'm currently still at work. Are you looking for EOM v1 or EOM v2? EOM v1 is what we drove all of 2012. EOM v2 is what we have been driving since May. EOM beta didn't have a proper route sheet really (and included a lunch stop at a place that is no longer in business), so I don't reference it much.

Yeah... I'm a geek.

Well, the tickets were pretty minor. Not a moving violation so no points on the records of the two guys who got nabbed and only a $25 fee if they stick the plate on and get it signed off before paying.

The CEL is a maintenance issue and not so much a problem with the drive itself, although it's still a bummer, no doubt. Any word on the cause for the timing code?

Exactly, maybe next time everyone will be running a front plate

Seriously doubt it.

There are two schools of thought on this.
1) If you were speeding and get pulled over and the cop is in a benevolent mood, he may choose to write you up for a lesser issue (no front plate) and just a warning for speed. So having no front plate gives the cop room to still punish you but let you off easy. If you subscribe to this school of thought, you may believe there is an advantage to having no front plate.
2) If you have no front plate, you give LE an immediate reasonable cause to pull you over and make your life miserable regardless of what speed you were going. I mean, let's face it, running no front plate does make us scofflaws (as in we scoff at some of the laws) and statistically are likely to scoff at other laws like, oh, I dunno, current registration, carrying proof of insurance, etc. If you subscribe to this school of thought, you may believe there is an advantage to having a front plate.

Admittedly, it does slow things down and is a little embarrassing if the leader of a group gets pulled over for no front plate (or anything, for that matter) so I have opted to put mine on.
