Right now they are predicting mid 70s in Malibu near the beach, but mid to upper 80s for Calabasas/Agoura, which is more along the lines of the temps we can expect in the canyons.
I would not be surprised to see my dash to read ambient air temps in the low 90s at the midpoint of our drive.

I was planning to wash all the track dirt off the Bee when I got home tonight so it would be all pretty for you guys tomorrow. I just got home, and my butt is not leaving the couch again tonight, except maybe to get a beer from the fridge.
Lessons learned today:
If it's hot out, bring more coolers than you think you will need. You will run out of room, and your buns will sweat. No one likes soggy buns. Likewise, the extra dogs and burgers will have to be thrown out at the end of the day.
It doesn't matter that you can spray your sunscreen front ways, sideways, and upside down. Do NOT trust yourself to adequately spray your own back. Recruit help. Especially if you're a redhead. (Thus far, the sunburns are the only real downside I've found to being a redhead. ) And even the parts you can reach, you still didn't adequately cover those areas with sunscreen, either.
Don't be lazy or think you're fine. Go back to your car and get your hat.
Also, when walking through grass, glance down every so often to make sure you aren't traipsing through some clovers, which are frequented by bees. You will walk into a bee, and it will sting you on the toe. You will not find this amusing until later. (It's not quite later yet; I'm still holding a grudge against that bee.)

And this is important enough to separate into its own post: There are many, many cops out this weekend.
I drove Kanan this morning (9ish-am) as a commuter, and lost count after about the 8th cop I saw. They will probably not all be as nice as the officer who pulled me over this morning. I got lucky that he's really into Mustangs.
I'd say we need to be on extra good behavior tomorrow if today was any indication on LEO presence for this weekend.

Thanks for all the updates!! Funny *and* informative!
We shall take it easy this month. It's summer time so it's not a big surprise LE presence is stepped up.
