Looks like fun except for the rain. Have you guys considered changing the route so that you go up Stunt, down Piuma, up Latigo, down Decker?

Yeah, the rain, when it rolled in, certainly bummed us all out. It meant slowing things down to a cruise, and I definitely found myself laughing right out loud at one point as we drove through some rather dense fog. I mean, all you *can* do at that point is laugh. But where it was clear enough to actually see, it was nice to have slowed it down enough to take in the local scenery. Had it been raining like that at the start of the drive, though, we would have just canceled.

I've done a couple of different configurations over the years. There was a time when we used to come down Decker and then up Latigo in the past, but that was when Hows Market was still open and it was a convenient lunch spot for us. However, Decker/Mulholland when there are slides (mostly Mulholland) can be downright dangerous going that direction. During one rainy season when there were a lot of slides after various rains, we changed things up and decided to go up up Decker for a few months, and it just sort of stuck ever since. And the down Latigo route has worked well with lunch.

Doesn't mean we won't consider doing it differently in the future, for instance Mulholland all the way out to PCH, but for now this is the route we take.
