weather.com's future weather map says the rain will end in Malibu at 9:30 pm tonight - 12 hours will dry most of it but you should have someone on point to check for debris

Once the roads had a chance to dry off (we purposely left later to allow some extra dry time), it couldn't have been a more perfect day! Debris was minimal (which is to say there was some, but not bad at all!), traffic was not bad, CHP presence was noticeable but not overbearing, and all things considered it was a great run.
We lost our two silverstones early on due to a pesky CEL issue over which they understandably didn't want to risk causing any damage. And when I caught up with the gang at the Snake I got to tell of my near-miss down by the RockStore. Apparently some Yahoo (who shall remain nameless) had his 1917 Fiat out again today and so there was a big crowd around it. The owner of said ride decided to walk over to the RockStore and crossed the road... right in front of my car. Yikes! There should be a sign, "Jay Walking Ahead!" I got it on video.

Otherwise, we had a pretty darn nice run through the usual haunts. Got lunch, then did our typical after lunch drive with one minor adjustment: I added a side trip down Lake Vista drive just because the view of Malibou (yeah that's how it's spelled) Lake is so pretty. Can't drive fast through there, but the scenery is so idyllic that it just must be traversed every so often.
I took literally ONE picture the entire time. And it was of a truck. But it's funny.

No need for apologies Project. Stuff breaks. It's not like it was on purpose or anything. I just like to make sure everyone is okay and not abandoned, so that's why I went back to check on you. We drive every month, and it's usually the last Sunday of the month. People come and go as they please. It's all good. Glad you could make it for as much as you could.
GREAT picture Duke Togo! Holy cow!
