Reminder: this is in 10 days. I have a couple of new (nicer) walkie-talkies already charged up for the drive. Having fun playing with them and looking like a geek (okay, more than I already do). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Can you really hear and understand the Two Way radios when driving with the top down?

AZ: yes. We keep use limited to only critical info. I can hear and understand the words, "Someone spun," without too much difficulty. With a big group, I will often use the radio to announce a turn, like, "Left on Schuren, Left on Schuren," if I can't see the tail end of the group. Obviously we only use them when it's safe which usually is when we are slowed down for something like coming up on a turn.
