That was a great game and an unbelievable performance by Kobe. Just another example of why he is the best player in the NBA. I'd be concerned though because Yao has pretty much played Shaq even this year. Houston hasn't had a great second half of the season but they actually match up to the Lakers pretty well and believe they can win. The Lakers might have been better off with Dallas. Then the Lakers most likely get the Spurs in the second round. I won't even start speculationg after that. If the Lakers win the championship this year they will definitely have earned it.

Houston is no slouch. Yao isnt near shaq, but he may be closer than anyone else in the league. Francis and Mobley are tough and Mo Taylor and Cato have caused Malone all sorts of problems even when he was at his peak. Houston is a weird team because they have superstars, but play a very defensive game and limit teams to a very low total score most of the time. The Lakers better win both of the first two games, otherwise they could be in for a long series, and even if they win look at how it cost them last year going through a tough series vs Minnesota in the first round.
