I agree, it's really not a safe move for exactly this reason.

Air patrol is a more transparent way to do the same thing, far more effective I'd think too.

Driver error, don’t use front brake when dipping, FAIL , NoOb rider for sure,
Lucky he was not dipping at high speed, if same reaction he would have been launched 50 feet, lucky guy, hopefully he didn’t get a ticket, but the tape looks like a speed trap. perfect angle and assistance for the CHP to be at.

Well the only worse thing is the rear brake when dipping.

He just stabbed the hell out of the brakes out of fear, bout the worst possible thing a rider can do. All he had to do was finish the corner, maybe trail brake a little.

^ ?

I'm saying rather than have a cop sit half way through a corner, patrol the area by air or sit on a straight instead of in a corner.

I can agree with that, but my original point is that the video seems too professional and perfectly set up for this to just be some guy randomly getting this shot. It is something the CHP itself set up so they could scare people away from driving Mulholland recklessly.

Rear brake would have made the tail slide outward.

Front brake = dumps the front wheel which will steer inward as the bike goes down.....that's just what happens.

Also if you use both got to remember the more front you use the less rear traction there is as the bike wants to lift the rear tire, thus it shouldn't be used hardly at all except by VERY advanced riders.

Ah yes I see your point. I'd agree that's a big possibility.
