Default Just got camera'd in beverly hills...

At the intersection of wilshire and whittier...Argh I feel so ****ty right now. If it all goes through about $400 down the drain. Anyone have any advice or lines of action I can take? I don't think I can fight it, I tried to make it but pretty clearly broke the red. Has anyone successfully asked for traffic school from this?

Also, I think I heard recently that red light cameras in LA were being shut down because of the lack of funds to pay for them. Is there any chance I won't get the ticket because of this?

Is this your first ticket in a while? If so, when you go to court on the assigned date you can ask for 8 hour traffic school, if its your 2nd ticket after within the time it takes for your first to disappear then you should be able to ask for the 16 hour traffic school but be advised that it "may" still show up on your record. As for the traffic cameras, I think they are still in action. I've seen someone get tagged by one recently. I hope this helps.

Can't you do traffic school online in LA county? I heard it takes about 30 minutes if you do it that way.

California doesn't think anything that makes them money is ridiculous.

Otherwise the accident causing cameras wouldn't be there to begin with.

Lol Greg, I think I know where you're going with that one. Yeah, I'm sure it got my face and my girls face in the passenger seat, the flashes were damn near blinding.

Guishin, that's what I'm hoping for, that I can get traffic school. I've only got one speeding ticket ever, which was 4 years ago, but I didn't do traffic school for that. So do you think if I go to court the judge will give it to me? Will he watch the video first though? Because I think I ran it pretty late (argh no one was around at like 12am) so hopefully he isn't spiteful about it.

Also, does anyone know if I can mail in a request for traffic school? If at all possible I'd like to avoid going to court..

Don't freak out just yet. I've been flashed twice (gaggady) and didn't receive a ticket. So just wait and see what happens.
