Raptor-

For some reason I thought that this was a Sunday Ride. Being that it's a saturday ride, it would be harder to get food/drink to your house. My point was the time from Wrightwood to your house. Having taken the route proposed, I remember the fwy part as being quite long.

For those that are unfamilar with Angeles Crest, that Wrightwood run will take approx 3 1/2 hrs. ( been awhile since my cycle days) Because of this I suggested to Raptor that we might want to go from Wrightwood to his house. ( check where hwy 2 and the 215 meat) Raptor thinks that we should start at his house. As a group we should consult a map and decide what we want to do. I also suggest that we have any money in Raptor's hands well before the run.
The question is whether we want to freeway before or after the run.I hope this makes sense.

If you guys want to start earlier, say meet at my house at 6 and roll at 7, that's fine with me.

i would rather start in wrightwood and get the boring freeway part over with beforehand. HOWEVER, since some are bringing food, it's less boring to drive the freeway when accompanied by a bunch of other S2000's, starting at Raptor's will get us onto angeles crest earlier, and his house is closer to most participants than wrightwood, it would be easier to start from Raptor's. also, the thought of driving to raptor's in the AM is less painful than the thought of driving ALL the way to wrightwood.

i'd suggest meeting at 7:30-8AM and leaving at 8:30AM sharp. any earlier and our numbers would suffer. is traffic still relatively light on the crest at 8:30?

oh, and sorry about the $ last time. i didn't count it and didn't force people to ante up so some managed to slip thru the cracks, i guess. i'm willing to be more of a harda$$ this time and make sure that anyone who's eating lightens their wallet too (unless they've brought sufficient food). i don't think all the eaters last time were even aware that they needed to contribute.

Raptor, if it helps any, i don't think anyone would mind if the bbq options were just korean bbq, hamburgers and hotdogs. And since tajarif is bringing $30 worth of chips and dip, i guess no one else needs to bring items in that "category".

i'll just contribute $15.

I think that 8:30 should be fine on the Crest. I also like the idea of simplifying the menu and having everyone contribute $15.00.

Sounds like we've hit on a consensus: Meet at my place @ 7:30, roll at 8:30. Sorry, BBQ Bratwurst is mandatory @ The Raptor's.

Do we know where we will be able to stop for gas once we get going up into the mountains?
