Default Jim Hall's Kart Racing

Today I went with one of my friends to go to Jim Hall's Kart Racing school. It is located in oxnard, ca. It was pretty cool...they taught us how to take proper lines and different kinds of braking used on tracks and what not...The karts we used were pretty quick...0-60 in 6.6 seconds and a top speed of 80mph. My best lap time was 39.57 and the course record was 36.1. I was wondering if anyone else has gone to this school and what was your best lap?

My cousin and I did ran this track about a year ago. We took the class with about 15 other guys and him and I clocked in the 1st & 2nd spot as far as time goes. I'll try to find my certificate to let you know exactly what my time was for 1st place.

It was a blast! As I was driving home, all I saw were "driving lines" and found myselft taking all the corners on the way home.

You definitely learn alot about driving and you do become a better driver after the class.

I just wish they would give out some recognition for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place times. Just a T-shirt or cap would have been nice. I think it would have been more competitive if they did that. Heck even an announcement in the classroom would've been cool.

Can't wait to go back

If you want more laps for your $$$ and a MUCH better track go to Moran Raceway in Beaumont and rent the karts. Better bang for the buck.

I did Jim Hall about 5 years ago and had a blast! ..I don't remember my lap times!
However, I have to agree with TrojanHorse.
Moran is a premier track with and excellent school.
In fact, I'm taking Junior Havoc for a class on Feb. 4th!!
