Default JDM Passenger airbag dash replacement cover

My air bags deployed a few weeks ago. (Long story)

My options are to get an aftermarket steering wheel or replace the entire SRS sytem.

Honda parts don't offer the pass. airbag dash cover with out the airbag unit.

I figure I could buy the passenger airbag and get an aftermrkt steering wheel and save some money from spending for a new SRS system. But if i buy the passenger a/b, might as well buy the driver side too. (no money)

A friend told me that there are replacement dash covers to replace passenger airbags when they are removed (racing).

Has any one heard of this. If so, do you think that there are any made for s2000s.

We could save a lot of money on this (for those whos airbags have been deployed)

I would definately have to be more carefull driving though and still have a clean as look. You could get creative and make it usefull to hold items and stuff. "whatever"

Any knowledge of this?

the have those trays for the EK's and the DC's but not for the ap1/2

Most of the time that I see a "RACE" car with just block off plates made of carbon or aluminum (sp) But it doesn't look pretty at all

I've also seen, personally, people taking the passanger air bag cover to the upholstry shop and have it covered with a vinyl or leather that looks close to the dashes color and texture

I'll sell you my stock steering wheel and air bag for some cash

You got an ap1, I'll take your dash cover though, if it fits right.

Damn! So far, I there is not info as to where I could get one.

I am getting some ideas... get a blown unit, use the cover to do some creative replacement ideas to cover it up and get a nice red suede cover to seal it up.

what do u guys think?

Maybe, but I'd just try and get the cover to match the dash.

You don't have to buy a used blown airbag, just use yours !!! Take it to an interior shop and they should be able to do it for you !!

Now that I think about it, the red suede pass air bag wont look at that hot. Maybe if you get the red suede sparco steering wheel to go with it
