Wow, was wondering if there were any good places here in the San Fernando Valley or nearby areas. Been watching too much Japanese programming these past couple of days. Any ideas?

^I like pho more cuz I love what they put in it..is it called MSG?

Jokes aside, they're like apples and oranges. I can make decent ramen bowl but not pho.

there's three that I know of, all passable stuff. Kyushu Ramen in Sherman Oaks is the latest comer on the NEC of Van Nuys & Ventura Blvd.

Nippon Ramen is on Reseda, a block north of Vanowen, also NEC.

There's also a place on Sherman Way a few blocks east of the 405. I can't remember it's name, maybe it's called Kyushu...?

My favorite japanese ramen restaurant is Daikokuya. The pork broth is just addicting Any other places out there that is good?
Tempted to try this out now. If there is anything better than Shin Sen Gumi, I'm down to try it because that's the closest I've found in the US that compares to Japan (and nothing comes close).

Ebisu is pretty good. The place at Mitsuwa, I think the pork is the best part and it's pretty good overall but it's expensive for the size of the portions and there are no refills (at least there weren't any the last time I had it there).

Definitely subscribing to this.

Hakata Ramen (shinsengumi) in Gardena, CA. Best I've had. Much better than Mitsuwa.
