94-96 Integra GS-R rims are still selling for $450 w/o tires. I think $700 for a set of AP2 wheels w/o tires isn't that bad
But for 300 more you get fresh tires

As you guys all know, there are MANY 04+ rims out there (Socal) that has no tires. Why is this? The 04 tires are 900.00 in cost. It's more strategic now to buy a WHOLE set for 1000.00 and sell of the rims and recoup the tires.

Not pointing fingers at anyone, but someone got to make this 1st move. (That's me)

Why would ANYone buy a set of rims Without TIRES for 800? 700? 600? 500? or even 400?

Even at 400, it would cost 900 in tires from Arnel, which would put these rims at 1,300.00. For 1000.00, and if you're good at negociating, 900.00 and you get a new set.

Lets hear some inputs. No flame please. I sold my 04 set already for 1,X00.00

When we are done with this topic, I'll start up another topic about REPLACEMENT TOPS. (This should be good)

WOW!

I am SOOOO Glad someone finally said something...I too am "thinking" about buying 04 or better rims...but for the same price (plus a little cash, maybe) there are far better "deals" to be had.

And as many people have pointed out....THEY ARE "STOCK"!

The reason I point this out is that because how many of us on this board bought our cars and though, "I'm going to leave it just the way it is, I love my car stock"....

NOT I.

On the "flip side" (to be fair)...I can't decide on after market rims...because I LOVE the way my car handles and I'm afraid it (after market rims) may change that...and from all the rims I see for sale...I may not be totally wrong.

I think I'll get some HRE Wheels and call it the day.

But...great point never the less!

pricing is driven by demand and supply, period.

if demand dwindles and supply increases THEN the price will "droooop".

About the '04-05 rims. I am patiently waiting for them to drop in price. I can see them eventually being around the same price as the AP1 rims........but you just have to give it time. As the car gets older, it'll happen.

p.s. It is top replacement time for me BC. So, get that thread started NOW!!

You know there are 14,000 sets of these guys in North America

Look at the forsale forum. Too much supply, means more bargains for the comsumer.
