Smile It's going to be a long day....

I decided to take the day off and work on my taxes
(QuickBooks sucks when you're 1 year behind)

Furthermore, the Stock Market is kicking my butt.

Who else is getting ready for their taxes??

I have to say I'm very impressed with TaxCut. I've used them for the past couple of years for the convenience of being able to import my previous year's data.

But what made me impressed was that they sent me this year's CD to remind me to do my taxes!

Sure, I could have downloaded it or even bought it at the store. But that would have required proactiveness, and when it comes to taxes, it's like going to the gym: I have ZERO motivation. And I procrastinate until April 1st.

Now, I've got the CD box in front me as a constant reminder that I don't have any excuses.

1040/540 are easy. When you get into LLC, S-Corps, K1, Sch C, 941, etc. It sucks. I can't even find my milages sheet for my car... %^&*().

Thank god that I can use the 1040 form. My father had three different sources of income last year, plus his retirement account. It took him like a month.
