kensington's fm transmitter has worked extremely well for me. I live in Culver City too and I have used it all over SoCal in the most congested and biggest building areas. You can customize precisely to the 10th which frequency you want to use...most cars can only move frequencies to the 20th.
I used it on my cousin's mid 90's accord and it works perfectly, even better than the S

i just bought this new headunit.. sony gt610ui and it has a built on ipod cable... very easy to install on the s2000! Very pleased!!!! 
and it has a usb port in the front to plug usb drives on it!

it seems really odd how fm transmitters work better in some cars than others...
