Default Insurance on 600RR $3400 a year WTF

Okay new problem. Called my Insurance Company to see what it was going to cost to insure and even though I have a clean record and have had a motorcycle license for 7 years, it was going to be $3400 a year.

That would mean paying $285.00 a month for just insurance.

Hell I only pay $100 a month now for both of my cars and one of them is the S.

Does anyone know where to get insurance for bikes that is reasonable??

Try Mcgraw.

I guess you can also try Wawanesa. www.wawanesa.com

Wawanesa doesn't have a motorcycle insurance policy. Farmer's, State Farm, and Mcgraw were the cheapest i've found. State Farm will definitely be cheap for you if you are over 25. EDIT: I think my quote for a 600rr was $300-400, I don't have the quote with me. That's for when I turn 25 in 6 months.

Try this State Farm agent:
Ray Vermeulen
2182 Dupont Drive Suite 8
Irvine, CA 92612-1319
Phone: (949) 752-6335
Fax: (949) 752-0389

For Farmers, try this agent:
Mark Hanna Insurance Agency
Farmers Insurance
Ask for Bernadette
714-840-4490

that's not right. They are classing it as a 600cc bike, right? Also try state farm, I paid $950 a year for my '02 f4i full coverage and I'm classed under 25 years old.

cnynrpr

Thanks for the referrals I will see what other companies are offering.

vapors2k

I put in 600cc and that is what the quote came out to be. I talked to an agent and he said that in the past year sportbike insurance has gone up a lot.

I don't understand insurance pricing, because I am over 25, have taken the safety class, and have a good driving record. Well I will let you guys know what happens.
