i haven't had any problems in LA area.. i used to live in the "nice" part of south central, about a block west of USC, and had my car parked outdoors and never had any problems. granted it got hella dirty from all the damn dust and cats that decided my warm hood was their bed...

Not sure about seat thefts, but there are major car theft ring going around right now. My Porsche 993 was literally a gone in 60 seconds deal from my driveway about 2 months ago.

Though everyone I talk to keeps joking about the possibility of having a slashed top, that's pretty annoying.
Wow, what city did this happened in?

For Steve...

Here is a photo of the NSX seat bolt, on the left, and the S2000 seat bolt lock, on the right. The sizes do not match.

for those suggesting seat locks, op did have one seat locked; but it did not deter the seat from being all slashed up from a pissed off thief.

You're welcome. While I was at it, I installed my SmarTenna. It works.

Easy to replace the Seat cover.

Some people wait months for the insurance company to find used replacement seats that are nowhere as good as the ones that were stolen.

Can't drive the car without seats, but you can with a slashed one.
