My friend bought an Phone via Ebay to find out it was LOCKED. Does anyone know how to unlock it? Or steps about?

you have to be quite tech saavy and you risk destroying the phone completely if u mess up. take it to a shop. BC, pm me if u need a lead.

You can find one of those asian cell phone stores that will unlock it for $10. Usually it takes them 2-3 days. I've had a few AT&T phones unlocked and used with Cingular (way before they merged). I was going to suggest unlocking it yourself if you had a Nokia since those are easy to unlock.

You can go to Alhambra or Monterrey park. Go to Atlantic blvd in Monterrey park there are many Chinese cell phone places! or you can go to Unlockitnow.com I think. Good luck unlocking ur cell!

Here's one, I just went there on Sat to get my Razor unlocked...I dont know precise address but its on Bolsa in between Magnolia and Brookhurst. Its called Rainbow Sound and Cellular. It's right next to the Lee's Sandwiches on Bolsa in the next plaza (not across the street). Basically 22 west, exit Brookhurst, right on bolsa and its on your right side right before Magnolia.

The cost was $10 and took about 5 minutes. They do all types of phones I heard but not quite sure about blackberry, they do treos so I'm sure its not a problem.
