19's on a what? What was the tire size?

Actually, it doesn't really matter. On anything short of a truck/SUV, a 19" wheel will necessitate a rubber band sized sidewall. No wonder you bent that thing.

18" wheels on the S2k should be ok, unless you're talking about MONSTER potholes. Lots of people run 18's on the S2k and are fine (pothole wise). It's just one of the small downsides for running a larger wheel. I wouldn't worry about it enough to keep me from getting them though. (Not that I would ever run 18's...)

You can always try I guess! This particular pothole was on one of the main roads. Never hurts to give it a shot!

^^Well, at least they're TE37's and not 5Zigens

Also, a 255/35 will have a taller sidewall than a 225/35 .

'they are forged, so they are light and strong' <-- not the kind of answer im looking for...
I ate one once and it really made my stomach hurt bad. So, yah, they're pretty strong.

Driving around LA I've hit a couple of pretty bad pot holes. The TE's held up with no bends. I was running 215/35's in the front and 245/35's in the rear at that time. They're pretty strong rims.

I was going over to my gf's 2 years ago on 5fwy north bound. right after glendale exit, there is a curve. all of sudden some jack ass hits my quarter panel and suddenly car spuns out to the right, hitting the curve and made the car fly thru the sky... lucky, i only did 180 in the air.. total i end up doing 360 facing the correct direction. whole suspension mess up, so i had to replace the whole thing w/ 5 lug and shocks. oh, I was on my DC2.
