Default How soon should clutch go out.?

I have just under 20,000 miles on the car. Since I bought MY07 I have babied the dam thing. It sees the occasional redline shifts on freeway on ramps, but other then that this car has yet to receive any abuse.

A few days ago I began to feel strange sounds coming from underneath me, or at least I thought they were sounds until I realized I was just feeling thuds from under me. I checked my clutch fluid and it was below minimum level, and I also am feeling what feel likes maybe clutch slip while driving the car, mainly while accelerating quickly.

It seems to me like it's a bit to early for a clutch change. Could it be something, maybe some kind of defect I need to get checked?

If I have to then I will swap it out. If you can recommend a good shop I would appreciate it.

I shuld mention that a good 85-90% of those whiles are all feeway miles.

Way too soon for an OEM clutch to go out. It should be good up to around 50-70k miles...

Bought my car with 55k on her and clutch was supposedly replaced recently.
I've got 105k on her now and the clutch is still as good.

Cdv purposely slips the clutch to reduce load on the rear diff and tranny, thus prolonging the life while shortening clutch life. It's a smart idea but many don't like it due to the feel during spirited driving. I got mine taken out and the difference is night and day!
