The law states it have to be firmly mounted.

For my company truck after I got the no plates ticket, I zip tied it to the front grill

I was driving with windows down but when I got pulled over he told me to roll it up to see if my window were tinted. Jerk!!!!!!!

Court fees are no longer $10. It's $25 now and they make u pay $25 for each fix it. Thanks popo

Damn, I just got one too last night...

I'm just going to zip tie it to the front since I have the bumper plug holes. My dealer f'd up my bumper by putting glue on the plugs so now I can't take out the plugs without messing up my bumper

just zip tie the plate to the mouth of the front bumper. thats what my friend did and they said it was ok.

The station where I went to.. required it be mounted on with screws.

I went to LA court in downtown LA area
They said for fix-it, it's only $10
If not, front license plate + tint, it's $221

I guess it's different for different places.
I paid $25 in OC
