Here's my story:

Paid off my S2000 in Oct

Got the title from the credit union releasing the lean in early Nov.(out of state and not part of the Electronic Lein and Title program)

Mailed to DMV with a check for title transfer fee on Nov 13

Check cleared my bank on Dec 19

New title arrives in the mail today - Feb 15

Over 3 Months!

Wow, now that is some efficient operation...



Anyone else have to wait this long?

I just paid off my car too. it was financed by honda. i received the title about 2 or 3 weeks later.

I didn't have a loan but I got my car in Sept. and got the title a few weeks ago. The car was from out of state though.

i've had 3 s2's and usually is around 2-3 weeks for my title. No more then two months

I paid my car in cash and still have to wait 2 months!! Strange how the time differs so much...

hmmm...this just made me realize i never received my title. paid my car off two years ago....maybe i should look into that. What's the fee to replace the title? $20 or so at the DMV?

Paid in Jan and still haven't gotten it.

for this car it took 2 weeks for the title to arrive, it was purchased certified from galpin honda. It didn't have license plates since it was from out of state and the personalized plates took about 3 months to receive.

Cal DMV, oh idk shouldn't take longer than 3-5 years.
