Hmm... wheres the box in relation to the house? If you can move the box, i would move it to the farthest point of your house, and walk the opposite direction. During that time try and figure out the distance?

Does the outside constitute as your backyard?

In addition, i don't understand why they wouldn't give you a numerical answer? Ask someone else who is in charge of your supervision?

the box is in my front living room cant move it its conected to the phone jack I cant really figure out on my own how far I can go, I dont know if they'r will be a beep or if it will just send a signal notifiying I'm out of my range and by that time it might be to late i'll have violated and just have to do my time in jail...worst part is if I was to go to do the jail time now, I hear I will have to do the whole time as if I had just done jail time in the first place I would have gotten out any time before the half time ..

When my dad was on house arrest a few weeks ago, he couldn't step foot outside. He was still able to go into the garage because it's still attached to our house, but he couldn't step foot in the backyard, or front porch.

If the only thing separating ME from living comfortably in my house and barely "surviving" (if I'm lucky) in Jail was a nebulous distance between myself and the box...I'm pretty sure the LAST thing I'd do is test the limits of my confinement.

I guess what I'm saying is...DON'T POKE THE SLEEPING TIGER.

STAY IN YOUR DAMN HOUSE

(just my .02)

Hope it's over soon
