Man thats so bad. I was a witness to something like this but no one died.

I actually saw two people flip over as they T boned a car that was making a left on a RED left arrow. It was like slow motion. All we could do was hold the womans hand and tie up the mans arm from bleeding.

After seeing that I said no to bikes......

Pretty crazy.....I would never get a bike but this just reaffirms my decision so sad to hear. Everyday I goto class there are always lane splitters and im worried about hitting them or not seeing them come behind me.

wow at least in cali its a law to wear a helmet.
when i was in florida in april i was AMAZED that i saw alot of bikers in shorts and tanks with NO HELMET... u just know they are going to be another statistic at some point. you can be the BEST driver in the WORLD but all it takes is some idiot to make a wrong move and ur toast.

definite prayers go out to those folks and their families, this is a very very bad day for them

this is why i always try to look back for bikers and then stay as far to whichever side of lane they're not on. i'm pretty aware of these things when i'm driving and just hope that the couple inches of visual i can give people ahead of me will let them see an oncoming bike.
