Even on local streets, I only split lanes if everyone is at a red light and I can move to the front safely..........
NEVER on a freeway...........
NEVER on a freeway...........
lane splitting in heavy, slow traffic and stop lights is one thing....lane splitting at high speeds is another. A risk I will never take...i'm cool with just cruising.
plus if I ever did split lanes at high speeds like that i got a little viet girl that would kill me. Too much to lose: it should keep me in check.

Well the fellas in the truck spoke no english.... as far as fault goes. The other and best witness is the owner of a local Harley shop and she told me she thought it was rider error because they SHOULD have been able to see the truck change lanes, she said IMO they simple ran into the back of a truck.
It matters not, if your on a bike your always at fault. The pics explain why.

BC/MIKEY,
thx for the cleanup process, not sure what they posted but I saw something about not enough blood so I'll make an assumption.
My guess is that his spine was broken in the lower first few T-xx
and then as well in the upper neck.
SADDDDD It looked to be a couple. At best assuming she survives she is a widow.
His entire body looked like it a 240lb man was stuff into a suitcase. He clearly had his femur broken in a couple spots, arms as well. One leg was draped of the left side of the truck, the fireman blocks that view though. He had very little bleeding but..... D.O.A for sure.
Just wish there was more we could have done. Best wishes and our prayers go out.
Mid 90's helmet by the look of the paint scheme and interior fabrics used, from my quick inspections anyway. FOR GODS SAKES YOUR LIFE IS WORTH MORE THEN $50 DOLLARS PEOPLE! At least get a SNELL approved helmet. In general we (Xpeed) make THE lowest price SNELL helmet and thats $100 dollars. Is it too much to ask that people spend a little more. I hope that this isn't the deciding factor in her living but it may turn out to be, she may have brain damage of course.
They were both wearing shorts/jeans/t-shirts and FLIP FLOPS!!!!!! That's the first thing I saw was a leg over the bed of the truck with flip flops on!

I believe the double yellow opens up during that area.... this is just before McKinley.
Remember the guy on here that had his truck fly off the freeway into 24/hr fitness parking lot? It was just prior to that section of the offramp heading East. Tire marks in the carpool lane should clarify to any who drive there in the near future. It's jsut a wide mark but short.
