Default Honda Of Santa Monica...CLOSED

Officials have shut down Santa Monica Honda while they look into claims of the dealership charging people a false $500.00 DMV fee on the purchase of cars.

As reported on KTLA.com, http://ktla.trb.com/news/local/ktla-092502...2Dnewslocal%2D1

ALL operations of Santa Monica Honda have been shut down. So I am pretty sure the service department has been closed off as well.

The service operations appear to have resumed, only the sales side remains closed. Found out after marks2k contacted them yesterday.

I bet a $100.00 repair just jumped to $250.00 if they can't sell cars.

Nice. I hope the crooks get raped in court.

Must say I've had good luck with the service dept, though. I guess you gotta pay for good service somehow...

That's the first dealership I went for my S and after talking to the sales guy there I vowed never to go there again to buy a car. First he offends me by asking if I can afford the car and then tells me to "be a man" while we're talking $$ as I'm trying to negortiate for MSRP. I walked right out after that... What a moron...

Now their service department, I've heard nothing but good about them. All I've had done there have been oil changes, though. At least I haven't driven away with a missing oil cap or anything like that as some others have from other service departments.
