Default Hollywood Honda: the good, the bad, the ugly?

Has anyone had any work done at Hollywood Honda?

My rear bumper is a mess- one shop (M2 in Santa Monica) says they can fix it, another shop (Hollywood Honda) says I should replace the bumper.

Any horror stories I should know about before I commit my baby to surgey?

Thanks all

I know it my be a bit out of the way Kristin, but you might want to give Matt Piercey (AKA Pierceman) a call at Piercey Honda World in Westminster. His dealership will do quality work, honestly and he will not jerk you around. We all know unfortunately that sometimes dealerships can scratch cars (or stuff like that) and I know personally that Matts dealership fixes their mistakes if any without all the BS that other dealerships make you go through. Again, I know you are a bit far, but maybe the extra drive time will be worth the peace of mind and quality work without the crap. It's worth a call, (714)890-8900. Check out my thread "An interesting Fact about Auto Dealers", it will provide you with an interesting insight into insurance coverage that dealers have.

I have seen some body shops will send the bumpers out to a "Bumper Repair" shop....
Sometimes the bumpers come out nice after repair, sometimes they still look deformed.
Either way, they usually charge anywhere from $100-250 to repair the bumper....I'm not sure how much a brand new bumper from Honda costs, but it might be around the same price as repairing...good luck!

a new bumper from honda is about 294 and change. cost to repaint and install is about 250. If M2 says they can fix it, let them. The dealer will always replace cuz they get like 33% off parts, and most dealerships dont have attatched body shops. Reconditioned (bumper repair shop) is just as good as having a shop fix it. M2 is a good shop. ask for james brownee. tell him you know duff from farmers! lol. i doubt he'll remember me.
