Default hfc ticket in socal

Hey guys just wanted to ask a simple question

i have a berks high flow cat right now

if i ever do get pulled over..how much whould my fine be?

is it the same thing as a test pipe ticket which is like 2 grand or so?

Any body have experience on getting a hfc ticket?

advise please thank you

i heard that it's 1grand for no cat.
and also heard if your car has 80k miles(?) then you can change aftermarket cat.

yeah thats what i hear too...


its a thousand dollar fine, regardless if you have a high flow cat. some cops dont care and will write you a ticket-you have to contest it in court if the hfc is 50 state legal.


ive seen them pull out the stick with the mirror to inspect under the vehicle.

Just say its the stock cat, how will they know if its factory or not.

HFC's are the same as test pipes ILLEGAL !

If your worried about it. Take you OEM heatshield for the stock cat have it tack welded to the HFC. So under a quick look, it looks like you have you OEM cat on

it looks different, high flow cats often look like resonators. even though a high flow cat is 50 state legal, your legally not allowed to touch or replace your oem cat unless it fails.
