Default Help This Person Out Please

Hello My Friends,

I just saw this sad video of this girl name Janet Liang 22 years old. She has leukemia and is in need of finding a bone marrow match for her. She does not have long to live so I am asking everyone to step up and sign up to be a potential bone marrow donor. You can read about her story here. Please help her, it sucks to know that you are dying and that you do not have long to live especially at a young age. Let's try to do our part as being good people and help a person in need. This is a great community and I met many great people over the last 7 years. Let us pull together to help a strenger in need, its not just her but many more like her in the same situation.

Thanks in advance.

E

Here is her plea for help its very sad.

I have this class this semester where the teacher is giving away extra credit to those who donate blood or become a bone marrow donor. I wasn't going to do either but now that you've posted this, i'll consider it. Minorities are way underrepresented as far as bone marrow donors.

Thank you for the reply, I am shocked that I have not gotten more responses from this thread. I really hope people can help save this girls life, I don't care what it entails for me to help this girl or others...(as long as it doesn't kill me or disable me then I am fine lol).

You can look up the bone marrow drives that they have in various cities within so cal and go in person. I was planning on doing that also as an option instead of waiting two weeks for the kit to arrive.

I really hope someone can be a match for her and save her life, I believe she has until April or so to live as the Doctors are predicting...I am hoping she can last long enough to find a match.

I guess I should go get tested and see if I'm a potential donor.

Thanks for all the responses, I hope the people who read this and did not respond will go do their part in being a potential match to save a life. I regret that I did not do this earlier.

List of regional bone marrow drives. There's two events in Alhambra this weekend.

Thanx for posting OP.

This was the first thread I saw and needless to say, I'm getting ready to head over to today's drive at UCI to become a donor. 22 years old is just too short of a life to live so to give up a few hours out of my day to possibly give Janet (or others like her) a chance in living a full life is worth it.

Hopefully I'll see some of you guys there, and again, thank you ediddy310 for posting this.

Regards,

Kh3m

15minutes top at UCI donor site. If you're in the area stop by and help. It's a booth behind the Student Center. Easiest way get on Periera drive and just park at the 15 minute parking in the circle right in front of the flag poles. Walk up the stairs and there'll be a booth to the right. Can't miss it.
