Ben didn't do my valve adjustment, but he's done it for many of our members on here and have only heard only good reports

Kinda off topic, but our compression is supposed to be 200psi for each cylinder, correct?
215 area.

Thanks for all your help people.

I've PM'd people that have offered to help.

If anyone else has experience with this, I would like to make contact with you just in case I run into problems etc.

I live in Los Angeles, Miracle Mile area.

I could do it for you if you can wait until i am done with my final.

i have all the tool minus the leakdown gauge and i am alhambra/pasadena.

i'll run compression check(after) and pull it + install for 200 cash =P

let me know if you are interested, i got some vouch on s2ki.com and alot more in honda-tech.com.(i also work on dsm all the time, just did a clutch, tranny and diff.job on a awd dsm)

if you need valve lash adjustment or any other stuff while the doing the headwork, let me know.

as far as normal compression number, it's around 200-215 is normal, factory in wear, proper break in period, the voltage drop when cranking, the volume of air of the tube, etc.

but the number you recieved is really bad, it varies more than 10 percent from one to another cylinders.

Thanks for all the offers guys.

I know your time is valuable, and your offers to help is very gracious and charitable.

Supertech will be doing the leakdown test as soon as I make an appointment with him. This will be to determine if there is any damage to the short block, cylinder block, and/or the cylinder heads.
leakdown test does not determines location of the damage on the engine. the only way to deteremine the damage is to take the head off and visbility check the chamer.

this saturday will be a little difficult for me...

how do you figure?? A leakdown test will give you the amount of leakage in a cylinder. You can tell where the leak is coming from by listening to the intake manifold, or exhaust manifold, or crankcase for airflow. Since a leakdown test is conducted with the cylinder in topdead center on the compression stroke, theoretically there should be limited to no leakage. If you have leakage in the intake or exhaust, it is caused by leakage past the valves (bent or burnt valves). If you have air coming out of the crankcase, then you have piston/ring leakage. A leakdown test WILL tell you if it is your top end or bottom end causing loss of compression.

But what do I know, I only do this stuff for a living.
