Default Help in finding a place Santa Monica

I'm an east cost guy moving out to LA. My friend and I are picky guys and we decided we want to live as close to downtown Santa Monica as possible. We'd really appreciate if someone could help us out. We're looking for a 2bdrm, 2bath with a couple of parking spots and somewhere that doesn't mind a med-sized dog. Lots to ask I know, but if anyone could help us out we'd be indebted to you.

If you seriously think you xan help us please call me (203) 918 3083 ask for Sirmilton and we can go from there.

If no one can help you here, you can always try craigslist. It's very handy

Try Met Lofts (metlofts.com). Its in Downtown LA, across from the Staples Center. I live in a 2/2 with two dogs and have two parking spaces in a garage.

Thanks, spoke to your wife, she was very nice. We were concentrating our efforts in Santa Monica though.

going to be tough with a dog and of course the high expense living in Sta. Monica... Used to live there, it's really a nice area to live in I would move back there in a heartbeat

goodluck!

you can sign up for westsiderentals.com. Other than craigslist, they are one of the best resources for finding a place on the west side. It's not super cheap (I think like $60 for two months subscription), but I found it helpful. Good luck.

yea like jaromi said... i'm not sure if you'll be able to find a place that'll allow dogs. i think apts in santa monica range from like... $1800/mo to anywhere in the $3000 range. the new ones they're building in santa monica cost more and have less space. you should look for apts south of santa monica blvd or in the area's slightly north of it.

apts slightly south of wilshire blvd cost a little bit more because i guess it's closer to ucla and a lot of students like renting there. there used to be an apt that my friends and i were going to move into for our 3rd year but they're changing it into a condo now so that's kinda gone.

there are plenty of places to look but, the area's i just stated are the area's my friends an i looked at only because of the location relative to how close/far it was to campus

and like someone else suggested, buying a subscription letting you know which apt's in the area have vacanies and have information on all that stuff might be very helpful only because you can't actually go around looking for apt's yourself.

good luck on your search!

We are on westsiderentals, thanks. It's tough, and often discouraging, you guys have been a real help.

Thanks.

Look forward to meeting you when I move out there.
