Transferred from Golden West to Indiana Univ. I know its not a UC school, but is a top school academically. My GPA was not that impressive, cuz I get lazy, but I am a good test taker so my old SAT scores that I took senior year of high school were a good selling point. I also had to write a HELLAFIED essay to get in

they have a regular econ. according to their website. the regular econ should require alot of math anyways.

i doubt it's gonna be 3.5 now, my friend just grad from ucla finance/econ said the people getting into the program average about 3.8 gpa

if you can't even get 3.3 in cc, then you shouldn't aim for those impacted program to be honest.

I was talking to one of my classmates that transferred to UCLA (majoring in bio) and he suggested going to a cal state if i wanted to major in business and wanted to keep a high GPA, so i could get into a good graduate program. thats actually more feasible for me. + i think i only want to go to UCLA because it is a big name and such a prestigous school. the only thing that comes relatively close to my major is business economics and that wont prepare me for real world finance work.

mainly because its too expensive. if i were to go there and graduate school. i would be in serious debt. but i havent researched it yet, but i will since you bring it up.

i agree with your friend. if you have plans of going grad school, just save yourself the trouble and go to cal state if you're ready to do awesome and keep up that gpa of yours. good luck.

I think you need to have the best undergrad degree possible, even if youre PLANNING on going to grad school.

What kind of grad program are you going to anyways? MBA programs will rarely take someone that does not have job experience (exceptions are usually students that have had their undergrad at that particular school)

So you'd still need to find a job out of college. Also, you don't know for sure if you'll end up going the grad school route.
