Default Has anyone here transferred from CC

I was thinking of transferring to a UC, particularly UCLA. Has anyone here ever done that from a community college? What was your path like? Your GPA, admissions essay, etc. -dave

^ i agree, it all depends on what you're studying. for impacted majors,(business, psychology, biology, etc) you'll have to have a REAL good GPA to get into UCLA.

I transferred from OCC to UCI with a 2.9GPA (nothing to really brag about). My essay was very casual, as if I were talking to a friend. (that's how they said they wanted it).

Just talk to your guidance counselor and have them help you with your plan

already have.. im just trying to network with people that have transferred to UCLA. unfortunately, ucla does not have any groups or some kind of resource to get in touch with CC transfer students. if possible, i would like to meet up with people that have done such and perhaps "interview" them. id like to know what they went through academically and non-academically to get to ucla.

You should tell us what maj. you are trying to go in as.

I'm sure you will have no prob transferring if you really want to. Prob that a lot of people fall into when going to CC is getting/continuing being lazy as fkk and staying there for like 5 years.
