Some of my friends and I who are also on the s2ki meet up and we all get JDM haircuts than we go have a JDM dinner at night.

Irene Vaksberg Salon right by my house. She shampoos, etc then cuts all my hair with a razerblade/comb combo tool. It's the best haircut ever and it grows out very well so you don't need to go very often. It's not $8 though

Hawleywood's in Costa Mesa, off 55FWY near Triangle Square. It's old school rockabily barber shop where a man can be a man. They have beer and dirty magazines. Been going there for past 4 years.
