while i'm not completely sold on the GT-R....I felt that this wasn't a fair comparison between the two cars. while the corvette may have "beaten" the GT-R in many aspects..here are somethings to consider:

-Corvette has ceramic brakes; hence the better stopping distances
-Corvette only has RWD as to the GT-R AWD; hence the powerloss on the GT-R
-Corvette runs a 335 rear tire; GT-R runs a 285
-The GT-R as is comes with Bridgestone RE70 tires where as the ZR1 comes with specialty Michelin Sports; throw the optional Dunlop SP's on the GT-R and I'm sure that the GT-R will be more than capable of matching or beating the ZR-1.

to make this truly a fair test...both cars should have been fitted with the same tires.

Tires still would not account for the RWD/AWD.....

I think non of these matter. Why? Because it all comes down to DESIGN. If they wanted a ZR-1 killer, design it WITHOUT the things you list.

Alvin......

the vette has better brakes which is part of why it's a better car.
the vette is RWD which seems to be clearly superior
the vette fits a 335 rear BECAUSE its RWD the GTR should have copied
the GTR's tires aren't making up the difference in this case..... now they're gonna sound like Porsche.

GTR sucks.... Plus look at care/warranty, the GTR is a joke.

Saying it was beat for those reasons is like saying well the S is only 2liter and has 255 rears and crappy brakes, thats why it looses to the ZR1 ...well thats why the ZR1 BLOWS THE S2000 OUTA THE WATER!

BETTER car hands down

sorry, but I just seem to hate the GTR more and more.

That's kinda what I was saying

J/K!!

When I sat in one in Tokyo, I liked it a little, but basically thought it was a big pig.

Just my opinion of course.

^ ya i know ya were haha,

I sat in one yesterday a guy had in Brea.

it felt like an 10 year old American car where you sit IN the car and can't see over the heaping dash etc. I know what you mean by big pig for sure, its HUGE. It's got 3feet of car above the S200's window line!!! lol
