GTR will be fun in a straight line. It's the same as a really modded Evo.
If you want fun get another S2000. Save yourself some money while you're at it.
There is no replacement for the S. Anyone who tells you otherwise is on crack. This car seriously spoils you for what its worth on an unbelievable level!
With that said GL with your car search and I do hope you get another S =P

^ Have you driven in a GTR and a modded Evo to provide this statement?
I am completely disagree with you about this and yes, I have driven in a stock GTR for few weeks and a modded Evo with around 350 whp. Not sure what you mean by really modded, but Evo simply can't be compared with GTR in any form (maybe except functionality with its 4 doors).
I would prefer GTR over any car in the 85k price range, but that is just me.

Oh btw Sean, try El Monte Nissan. We got our GTR from there and the manager told us he has ability to get someone a GTR pretty quickly. It was back in 2009 though, so hopefully it is still the same manager.
Don't go to West Covina Nissan. They are your traditional hard to deal with salesmen and managers wanting 6-10k markup depending on the color.

Straight line? I'm not sure about this again but the car is superb and an excellent all around car.
Why do u think it's in the category of Gt3 rs and the turbos... Have u ever seen a evo compared to any Porsche GT's probably not...
I'm getting the car cause I think it's best bung fr the buck I had plan to get the GT3 RS but it's just not practical for me.. I decided to get a house instead of a GT3 and got the M3... ( which i should have gotten the GTR if i only knew. If I want to save some cash I would have just stayed with my s2
Don't get me wrong I do agree about the S but once u drive an M3 or GTR the S2 can't compare (I'm talking about the fun factor part)
The GTR is fun to drive as well but in the mean side of the fun factor SCARY
Funny how everyone here said the S is not replaceable I guess it is I never missed my S one bit... The only thing I miss about my S is when I'm in the garage working on the car...
