Default Got a speeding ticket

Guys,

Was heading to see a doctor and didn't notice "Road Work Ahead".

Normally the speed is 45 but today it was allowed 25. Cop was pulling a lot of people over since the road leads to downhill (heading south on Azusa near Amar in West Covina).

Does the fine double in road work area? What is the process of showing up in court. I haven't had a ticket for so long.

Cop showed the radar and I was hit at 42mph.

In that situation, the cops could basically pull anybody over.

I am sure the city got a lot of tickets today. Cops weren't even on their bikes. They were standing on side of the road and waving people as the cars were going downhill. I guess CA needs the money

I heard if you intend to show up in court and if the cop shows up, you forfeit the opportunity to go to traffic school? Can somebody confirm this?

Btw, the ticket reads "Speeding", 22350 violation number.

oh btw if you decide to go to court to fight the ticket, you do fore fit the ability to go to traffic school. When they call your name and the officer you will be given the opportunity to plead guilty and request traffic school; but rarely will they grant you traffic school due to the fact that they just paid the officer to attend. Do not let the officer present intimidate you. A couple of times they say I request the case to be dismissed due to lack of recollection etc.

Btw was it a West Covina Police Officer or L.A County Sheriff?

West covina police.

I drove back after getting the ticket and noticed that if you were heading from the bottom of the hill, there were signs. Anything beyond those signs (there were small streets afterward so anybody turning right going uphill would not see any signs), no signs could been seen. I might use that as a reason .
