The cops dont care about CARB #'s, but judges do . If you bring the receipts and CARB paperork or CARB# number the ticket should be dissmissed. (Covina cops sound worse than HB or Newport cops... Isn't there any crime for them to prevent instead of #*@%ing with us!?!?!?!)
I a modified exhaust ticket while back and took the sales invoice for the exhaust and copy of the CARB paperwork (showed results of their decibel test) and the judge dissmissed the violation. I asked the judge what I can do to prevent this type of thing in the future and he said to put the stock exhaust back on the car
If you get a Ref ticket just pay the fine and leave it at that (meaning dont go to inspection). I have known quite a few people who have done it without any consequences.
