So Im on my way to work this morning not in the S but in the beater. Im running a little late as usual...I kept getting lucky with the lights, then I come up to a stop sign, there are zero cars around so I just slow down and keep going right thru it While Im in the intersection I glance to my right and see a motorcycle cop just waiting for the first dumb ass to run the stop sign, and I guess it was me I get about two blocks down the road then hes right behind me. Throws on the lights and I pull over. Hes like you in a hurry this morning, and Im like yea man I ran right thru that sign my bad. I talked to the cop for a little he was pretty cool, but I still got that damn ticket and still got to work 30mins late. Anyone know how much this tickets gonna cost me, and if its gonna make my insurance go up any higher?

Well, if its your first violation then you are fine. The ticket you should be discarded with traffic school. Without knowing your driving record it's very hard to say. I'm no specialists but I have had my 'fair' share of freakin tickets in my day.

Well its my second ticket, but I never went to school for the first one. My understanding is that you can go to traffic school to get a ticket taken off your record once? I told the cop it was my second ticket and asked if I can go to school for it and he said yes. So I hope I can get this erased.

Most of the time when you ask a cop fora advice its on point. Since you didnt go to school for your first ticket you should be fine. How long ago was your last ticket?!

about 200. my co work just got one like last month and it was about 200 i think

I've been pulled over twice for rolling through a stop (the same stop sign, even) and both times let go, probably because each time I had a hot chick in the car and also the cop discovered I lived about 200 feet away. Also it helped that I was driving Toyota Corollas and not a sports car.

I think they are reluctant to ticket people who live near a stop sign they roll through. They understand how it is when you're a resident. (The first time it happened I was pulled over and the cop said "where do you live" and I said "across the street right there" and pointed. )

Or maybe it was the hot chicks.

My last ticket was sometime in November of 04. That ticket was it was for reckless driving. Long story..wanna hear it? Yea...Ok.. I was visiting the lady over at Cal Poly @ around 2AM. I wasnt racing, but just kinda toying with this eclipse we were goin about 35-40mph in a 25mph zone. Now Im in the parking lot area. A cop gets behind me, its obvious Im gonna get pulled, so I turn down an aisle in the parking lot. If your familiar with the lots at Poly they are one way only. So she throws on the lights. Tells me she stoped me because she noticed me and the other car coming in kinda fast. No ticket for that, but then she gives me a ticket for reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road. WTF the only reason I turned down that aisle was so she could pull me over. So I paid that one, it was about $300 if I can remember correctly. Never went to school for it probably should have.
