George, words cant explain how sad I feel for you and your family right now. I know that your home is not going be the same at nights when you arrive from work, only time will heal that.
He is in a better place right now, hanging out with his friend... barking, sniffing, peeing on fire hydrants and what not. I don't want to sound like a freak of nature when I say this, however, you will see him again soon.
Just remind yourself that he is not suffering anymore, and he would be thanking you with doggy kisses because of that, if you could see him right now.
Hang in there, you got to think about yourself and your health condition now and how you are going to overcome that one. it will be ok buddy
