Default Going to San Francisco

Me and my friends are thinking about going to San Francisco for fun but no one wants to use their car. So I was thinking about taking a bus. I looked up greyhound rates and it's about 100 bucks round trip... I know there are cheaper rates through asian companies, so does anyone know of any ones?
I was also thinking of taking a train cuz it sounds like fun but it's pretty expensive.

It's only like 4 or 5 hours away. Can't be too bad, sounds like a great roadtrip.

@ $70/rt to SF, how is it cheaper to rent a car? unlesss, you're assuming he needs a car in SF, which, may or may not be, the case.

how about cheap bus trips to San Diego?

there are both Vietnemese and Chinese bus companies that undercut greyhound; the Vietnamese one also serves free sandwiches... just Google it.

btw my gf often rents cars to SF for work - she gets rates at about $15/day.

train is expensive - but fun.

Rent a car. If you've got more than 2 people, it's cheaper than flying or the train. Check enterprise for low rates

I would love to rent a car and drive it but someone has to be 25 right?? i'm not that old yet.

Flying would be fast, but it's too expensive.

I've tried searching on google but I can't really find anything?? should i like search "chinese, vietnamese bus lines" ?

thanks boostfed for the link... my friend can read it for me

Call around and check on the "over 25" age limit.

How many people are going with you? If it's more than 2 total, it's definitely cheaper to rent a car if you have the time for the drive.

Cheapest plane ticket = $140 x 2 passengers = $280
Rental car = $20/day(?) + gas money
