oh and instead of a hotel, you can probably find some large home in a gated community for rent down there for the week. Probably be more fun with that many people, and might come out cheaper.

The carnival is during lent season... but we're taking off in Aug... so we'll miss it. I guess RIO it is

If you endup in the wrong place during carnival, you will be witnessing some of the worst crime youve ever seen in your life, people getting stabbed/robbed/raped right in front of you...
