Default GM Synchromesh Friction Modified

Anybody know where to pick up some GMSFM? I usually go to Thorsen Pontiac in Pasadena but they are fresh out. Team Chevy in Pasadena is out too. Most of the other dealers in the Alhambra area don't even carry it.

Where do you guys usually buy? I need to change my tranny oil tomorrow.

www.acdelco.com

find a supplier near you... there FM tranny fluid is the same thing as the GM's. If you need to know the part number use the SEARCH function on this board... and if you STILL cant find it i'll look into it for you

I had to drive all the way to Costa Mesa to get my GM Syncromesh FM at some Cadillac dealer out there!

Definitely a difference. Much smoother. Will make the 1-2 smoother, but sadly it won't completely get rid of the notchiness. I don't think there's anything out there that will do that.

One other thing, it doesn't last that long. After about 4,500 miles, it loses it's effectiveness. I've used it on my last three tranny changes, always doing it less than 5000 miles apart. Around that time, the 1-2 notchiness starts coming back, 3-4 feels a little less smooth. It's bearable, but definitely not as good as the first couple thousand miles.

Oh. This might be good for me. I work right near LAX so Costa Mesa's just a skip away.

Samira, you want me to pick you up a couple bottles if I find some?
