Brian,
I'd 100% agree on gov't supporting it being the major issue. Of course there are for example places to eat in Brea (where I work as well) such as a few Korean BBQ that almost everything is in Korean only. That doesn't bother me nor does a Mexican food restaurants having primarily Spanish.
Yet the ATM machine..... at bank of AMERICA....for example.....
That kind of thing raises some hair on my neck every time I press ENGLISH. What happened to the days of becoming a citizen and learning HISTORY and ENGLISH AND LAWS. How can someone be an American with no understand of it's history and as a result no basis for decisions of the future such as voting. Where I'm going with that is that Bank of America as well as Home Depot are also supporting Illegal Aliens and FEDERAL CRIMINALS. Basic understand of English should be a requirement.

But what can you do?
Businesses will do whatever it takes to get a customer. If that customer is
more comfortable speaking Spanish, they'll provide Spanish services.
I guess we just have to have .... .... patience.
