It's fully operational. We're only 2 weeks out that means basically its a 99% finished version. You'd never notice the difference.

Ya notice they didn't call it the Nexus 2?

That's because the Nexus S is a POS and they didn't want it to seem like too big of a deal such as the flagship model Nexus One.
erm no they didnt call it the nexus 2 because the nexus 1 was an htc product and this is a samsung - chigidy check the specs yo and the fact that many sites are calling it the blueprint for android phones in 11

^ Umm I checked into it well enough to know it's not a phone I'll be purchasing. I know it's a samsung where as my N1 is a HTC (HTC>Samsung any day at this point).

They know full well that this phone is nothing spectacular. The Nexus One was far superior in the day it was released. The Samsung is just a tiny step ahead and a lot of time has passed.

The Nexus brand fully recognizes these FACTS as do many online tech sites.

Not to mention.... god that samsung shape needs to hit the toilet, hold the N1 in your hand and it's obvious why so many have this complaint.

[QUOTE=05TurboS2k,Dec 21 2010, 03:18 PM] I'm guessing 2.3 will be MONTHS for samsung.

2.3 is on Galaxy S as of a few days ago.

Anyone that's using official OTA ROMs is failing anyways. I'm enjoying my Galaxy S oc'd to 1.3 Ghz (and goes up to 1.6 Ghz) that smashes any other phone available into oblivion with its performance. Plenty of RAM, gorgeous screen, insane speed, great battery life... the list goes on.

Samsung themselves may be dropping the ball, but custom ROM developers have picked it up and ran with it. It will be a few months before any other phone can compare. Hopefully the dual-core phones will be able to outperform the Galaxy S in Q1 '11.
Is there an all in one package to install all those you listed?

yep! I recommend Axura 2.5. it has setirons kernel which gives you a lagfix, kernel tweaks, 43 mb extra ram, overclocking and undervolting capabilities, and tons of stability.

Disclaimer: the roms are different for each carrier's Samsung S. For example, I cannot install roms from the Vibrant or Captivate on my Fascinate. It will likely brick my phone.

Before you do anything drastic, do your due diligence. But once you do, you won't regret it nor go back!
