Default Froyo for Android

Had a question for you Android users....

I really want to get Froyo for my Samsung galaxy S on At&t but they are not giving us any ETA for the FW upgrade for the US

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I could do this to my phone ASAP?

Thank you!

Slightly off topic. Have you checked out this site for Galaxy info?

I'm supposed to get Gingerbread any day on an OTA, people have had gingerbread for weeks now. Froyo is old news. Are they tat far behind for that phone?

samsung is really bad about updates. I was interested in the samsung until there were reports of never getting froyo on the phone. The nexus one comes stock with Froyo and is the phone the gets new software updates before all other android phones... another reason why i love the nexus

ooohhh.. and i dont need to keep 3 back up batteries in my pocket like the evo lol
